| DBPS for reservation on economic basis | | | Early Times Reporter

While stressing to the government for providing reservation on the basis of the economic conditions, protest march was staged by the Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) here today.
The protestors led by the president, youth wing of Parshu Ram Dal, Shree Kerni urged the government to formulate the reservation policies on the basis of economic condition not on the basis of caste.
Kerni said that the policy of providing reservation to the various castes is spreading unrest among the down trodden people of the various societies.
He further said that due to this policy the student section is also not beneficial. During the protest the participants also start a signature campaign in this regard.
Among others who participated in the demonstration were Dev Raj Balu, Suresh Sharma, Bodh Raj, Jagdish Raj, Vishav Rattan Balu, Shanti Saroop Balu, Darshan Kerni and Rishu Prashar. |
