| J&K to participate in Beach Volleyball | | | Early Times Reporter

After a long gap of five years, Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir is fielding its team in the National Beach Volleyball Championship slated to be held at Goa from March 6 to March 9.
“To expose the state spikers to beach volleyball the Association has decided to send the team for the nationals this time,” general secretary of the Volleyball Association of J&K, Kuldeep Magotra told SAN.
Most of the boys for the beach volleyball have been selected from the Jammu and Kashmir Police. “Since the championship is in senior group, we have decided to invite boys from J&K Police only for about a week-long coaching camp. If suitable the boys would be taken to Tawi river bed for practice on sand,” he said.
The final team as per the general secretary will be declared after the camp is over. |
