Mahant Shubnarayan Das, President Sadhu Dharamsthan Surakshini Samiti (J&K) and Akhil Bharitya Saravdaliya Goraksha Mahabhiyan Samiti (J&K) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Mahant Mahavir Dass of Mandir Lal Bagh, Akalpur, Muthi, by some unknown assailants.
The Mahant has flayed the failure of the police to apprehend the culprits. A strong resentment is brewing among the sandu samaj as well as the religious minded people over this dastardly act of murder of a Mahant who was held in high esteem by the people in the vicinity of the temple, Mahant Shubhnarayan Das has said.
Sadhu Dharamsthan Surakshini Samiti has demanded that the assailants of the Mahants should be apprehended, booked and severely punished to restore the confidence of the people in the police force and the administration. The Samiti has also demanded providing adequate protection to the sadhus, saints and mahants as well as religious preachers of all the communities. |
