| Implementation of WG recommendations must for addressing alienation: PDP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 28 State Secretary of People's Democratic Party Mr. Syed Asgar Ali has urged the Central and the state government to start implementing the recommendations of the Prime Minister's working groups which have submitted their reports. He said that recommendations of the working groups have the propensity of addressing the alienation of the masses across the state. Mr. Asgar was speaking at a function in Kishtwar in which several workers of different political parties joined People's Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP leader said that after the coalition government took over, the sinking boat of advancement and development was retrieved. Maintaining that coalition government has succeeded in restoring faith of the people, Mr. Asgar sought continuity in the efforts being made to restore the vibrancy of the democratic institutions functioning all over the state. He urged the central government to speed up the process for returning the Dul Hasti Hydroelectric Project, as recommended by the Task force headed by a panel of economic experts, to the state. He demanded a practicable employment package for the youth of the state especially for the most backward district of Doda. Later, he welcomed activists of various political parties who joined the People's Democratic Party on the occasion. Those who joined included Mr. Qazi Mustaq Ahmed, Mr. Syed Altaf Hussain, Haji Abdul Aziz Ganoo, Haji S.H.Ali Shah, Mr.Waqar Beig and Mr Master Ghulam Mohammed. The workers were also welcomed in the party fold by the General Secretary of the party Mr. Daman Bhasin at the party head office in Jammu. |
