| Minerva school celebrates annual day | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 28 Minerva School of Learning, a sister concern of Conventry Scholars today celebrated its maiden annual day function with much fan fare. A cultural show comprising of folk dancers of J&K, skits and variety of other programmes marked the function. A colourful fancy dress show was the highlight of the day long annual day function.Tiny tots mesmerized parents and other dignatries present on the occasion with their scintillating dance performance on number of folk songs and light music. Swami Kumar ji a well know religious scholar of repute was the chief guest on the occasion. In his brief message to the students he highlighted the role of Indian values and traditions in shaping ones life. Another educationist PK Jospeh Dhar was all praise for the courage and conviction with which the younger generation was serving the community. Ashok Singh Manhas, corporator of the area underlined the importance of quality education and appreciated the role of the school management in providing quality education to the children. Meritorious students were presented awards and mementoes on the occasion by the chief guest. Principal of the Minerva School of Learning Sanjay Tickoo had earlier welcomed the guests while Principal Conventry scholars Dr Asha Dhar read the school annual report. “We are spreading our horizons beyond these tiny tots to the adolescents in whom we try to develop the feeling of choosing the future pth towards management studies, engineering and medicine by imparting them counseling and tuitions from 8 to 12 class”, School Princial said, She added that we are in the process of developing a franchise with Sachdeva new PT College, SN dass college of competitions and Master Mind classes for better training of students. Manmohan Bhat, director of the school presented the vote of thanks. Others who attended the function included Rajesh Dhar, Sanjayji and Anjali Koul. |
