| Coalition has given nothing except miseries to State: Chaman | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 28 Ridiculing the coalition's claims of good governance and prosperity, former Union Minister and a senior BJP leader, Chaman Lal Gupta has said that during last six years of coalition rule, the miseries of people of state have increased manifold and the vociferous slogans by the people at the helm of affairs have merely proved to be hollow. Addressing the party activists at Katra, Vaishno Devi on Thursday, Gupta said that all round spates of demonstrations, dharnas and hatrals on regular basis was enough proof to prove the misgovernance of present dispensation. "What else could prove the failure of government than that the employees of various government undertakings without emoluments for months together and thousands are on the roads along with their children and women holding anti-government demonstrations for release of their salaries," Chaman added. Gupta said that more intriguing was that the rulers are initiating no efforts to sort the problems out with the striking government employees, which has aggravated their miseries. "Instead these leaders are at leisure trips to New Delhi and elsewhere wasting the public exchequer and exposing the people to all sorts of problems," he added. Gupta expressed surprise that the ruling leaders are eager to have dialogue with Pakistan and 'Jehadis' but it was most unfortunate that they are avoiding even to talk with the suffering employees and others. He further said that there was never such a chaos before which has now come to be the order of the day especially after the Congress took the reins of power. |
