Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 28 Adbi Kunj today organized a composite literary cum poetic meet at its literary centre which was presided over by Swaran Jeet Kour Raina, a noted Punjabi writer and poetess. Talib Kashmir General Secretary Adbi Kunj conducted the proceedings. A resolution, complimenting Nargis Sitara, a well known Urdu writer and poetess for being honoured by Jammu and Kashmir Sadiq Memorial Society, was passed unanimously. The meet also expressed deep shock over the death of Kshemender Raina, a long time member of the Adbi Kunj and an eminent Radio, TV and Theatre personality. Talib Kashmiri threw light on late Raina’s achievements and excellence in the field of activity, describing his death as a great loss to the world of theatre. A 2- minute silence was also observed in memory of late Raina. Later, in the story session, Swaran Jeet Kour Raina presented her story titled’ Pyass’ while Chaudhary Idris Shaad read out his Gojri story’ Chudail’. Nargis Sitara presented her Urdu sketch’ Main Azaad Hoon’ while Muni Lal Puri read out his Urdu write up ‘Malik Ek Naam Anaik’. Those who recited their poems, ghazals and songs in the poetic session included Swaranjeet Kour Raina, Talib Kashmiri, Nargis Sitara, Hakeem Sanobar Khan, Ayodhaya Raina Gamkhwar, Naresh Kumar, Chander Ved Prakash, Mohammed Idris Shaad, Muni Lal Puri, Babli Zutshi, Com Jaswant Singh, Rajeev Kumar, Daya Ram Daya and Sham Talib. |
