| Inter-college Athletics Meet from March 12 | | | Early Times Reporter

The annual inter-college athletics meet of the University of Jammu shall take place from March 12 on the campus. A decision in this regard was taken in a high level meeting held recently.
In this athletics meet, spread over three days, the athletes from different affiliated colleges of the University of Jammu shall be competing in various track and field events.
Organised by the Department of Physical Education of the University, it will be in this meet that the colleges winning inter-college tournaments will be awarded the trophies in a well attended function.
The outcome of the 27 different sports events decided during the academic year indicates that the combined sides of the Post Graduate Departments of University of Jammu is going to bag maximum trophies in team events.
The reason behind PG Departments performing so well in the inter-college is students of BPEd and MPEd, who are of sports background.
Among other affiliated colleges, it is the Government College for Women (GCW) Parade which has won maximum titles. In men’s section, Government MAM College and Government SPMR College of Commerce are close to each other. |
