| CRPF, JKP sit across to resolve explosive hoax | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Feb 28 As the Jammu and Kashmir Police fastened its belts to move against the Central Reserve Police Force for its hoax explosives haul on the occasion of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's visit to Bhaderwah, the CRPF Director General SIS Ahmed today flew in to Srinagar to have parleys with top cops of the state police. Though both, the CRPF and J&K Police were silent in the issue of explosive hoax, they however resolved to work in tandem to counter the insurgency. A high level meeting for enhancing cooperation between Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force was held at Police control Srinagar. The meeting was attended by Director General of CRPF Mr. S. I. S Ahmed, Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Mr. Kuldeep Khoda, Inspector general of Police Kashmir Mr. S M Sahai, IG Operations CRPF Mr. M. S Gupta,. I G, CRPF Administration, Mr. S K Jain and IG CRPF Jammu. In this meeting a detailed discussion was held at measures to be taken for enhancing cooperation between Police and the CRPF with regard to internal security of the state in general and of Kashmir valley in particular. In the meeting some deliberations regarding the enhancement of the operational capabilities of both the security agencies and refinement of Operations particularly in the densely built up areas were also taken. Reducing the collateral damage during operations and minimizing public inconvenience was also discussed. It was also decided in the meeting that there will be greater participatory role of both the agencies during the operations against the militants in Kashmir. The present security scenario of the valley and the steps for further improvement were also discussed in this meeting. Besides these officers Dy inspector General of Police Central Kashmir Range Mr. Abdul Subhan Lone, SSP Srinagar Mr. S A Mujtaba, SSP PCR Mr. Shovkat Malik and SSP Budgam Mr. Ashiq Hussain Bukhari also participated in this meeting. |
