As per a government order newly created department of culture would be headed by an independent secretary to government.
Directorate of Achieves, Archeology and Museums, Directorate of Research, Libraries and Museums, presently with education department and Toshkhana presently with Hospitality and Protocol Department have been placed under the administrative control of department of Culture.
All the maters related to the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages shall also be dealt with by the Department of Culture for further consideration ororders of the Chief Minister, a handout released by the government said here today. |
