Dharmarth Trust resents ‘repressive’ policies against Hindus
Decides to form joint ‘Math-Mandir Bachao Committee’

Expressing its grave concern over the repressive policies being adopted and practiced by the State Government against minority communities in Jammu and Kashmir, especially the Hindus, Dharmarth Trust Council, at a joint meeting of heads of various organizations, has unanimously decided to form a joint forum ‘J&K Math-Mandir Bachao Committee’ to fight against the government’s suppressive policies towards Hindus.
The meeting chaired by Thakur Divakar Singh, President, Dharmarth Trust Council was, among others, attended by heads of various organizations including Dharam Vir Batra, President Sanathan Dharam Sabha Kashmir, Mahant Rameshwar Dass, President Beragi Virakat Mandal, Dr. Ramakant Dubey, President VHP, Narender Singh Jamwal, Mayor JMC, Vivek Swami, Vivekananda Kendra Nagdangi Ashram, Achhabal Kashmir, Dr. Balwant Raj Sharma, President Sanathan Dharam Sabha Jammu, Rajesh Gupta, President Shiv Sena, Dharni Dhar Sharma, President VHP, Jammu Mahanagar, Sanjay Anand, President Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Jammu, Mahant Madav Dass, Panch Mukhi Hanuman Mandir Amirakadal Srinagar, Mahant Ramjivan Dass Srinagar, Jagdish Dogra, General Secretary, S D Sabha, Jammu and Vijay Pandoh, President Prant Akhara Bajrang Dal Jammu.
Expressing its resentment over passing the Private Members Bill arbitrarily in the Legislative Assembly ‘to annex the property of Hindu Maths and Temples’, the meeting decided that the ‘forum would fight this tooth and nail and would not allow to grow what they called ‘ anti-Hindu sentiments’. The Forum would also adopt zero tolerance against the move of some political parties to grab temples and religious places of Hindus in the state and accused government for not hearing the views of the community while passing the controversial bill.
