| JKNPP urges militants to shun the gun and support his party | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 1 Jammu and Kashmir National Pathers Party (JKNPP) Chief Bhim Singh today appealed to militants to shun the path of violence and support their party if they had to get Kashmiris free from excesses being perpetrated against them. "I have pleaded the cases of over 250 militants in different courts and got them released. I am a well-wisher of Kahsmiri people. I, therefore, appeal to militants to shun the gun and join the mainstream", Singh said addressing a public meeting in Rajpora area today. Alleging that excesses were being perpetrated against the people of Kashmir for the past 60 years, the JKNPP leader sought their whole-hearted support if they wanted to put an end to their misery. Flanked by several party leaders during the visit, he also appealed to the Hurriyat Conference to support his party so that their fight for genuine rights could achieve its goal. |
