Unidentified Armed man on Sunday morning shot dead a civilian at North Kashmir village of Warpora in Sopore.
Official sources told that a pistol borne man believed to be a militant fired upon a youth Riyaz Ahmad War son of Ghulam Mohamed of the near Jamia Masjid Warpora injuring him critically.
The injured was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Riyaz Ahmad was a painter and used to earn his livelihood by writing signboards. Police has registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the assailant.
