| Woman commits suicide, porter found dead | | |

A woman in her late thirties ended her life on Sunday by consuming some poisonous substance at her home at Village Sultan Daki in border Tehsil Uri , while an Army portar was found dead under suspicious circumstances some where else in the Valley.
Officials told KMT that Razia Bano wife of Sajad Ahmad Awan consumed some poisonous substance at her home and fell unconscious. She was rushed to hospital in critical condition. However, doctors at Sadder Hospital Uri declared her as brought dead.
The reason behind taking such an extreme step by the woman was not immediately known. Police has registered a case in this regard and taken up investigations.
Meanwhile an Army Labourer was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Kupwara. The deceased labourer Mushtaq Ahmad Mir son of Gul Mohd of Samran, district Anantnag was working with 02 ASD as an ammunition labourer. Police has registered a case in this regard and is trying to ascertain the cause of death.
