Fear of militants accepting
8/8/2018 10:50:02 PM
With the valley shuts down on the second day to force the Supreme Court to drop the petition challenging the validity of Article 35-A Agencies in Pakistan have cashed on this political fluid situation with assistance to the militants in crossing into the Kashmir valley. In fact the Kashmir centric politicians do not seem to cherish the simple deferment of hearing on the petition filed in he Supreme Court challenging the validity of Article 35-A. And groups of militants are being readied to push into Kashmir for escalating the level of violence. Already several hundred youth have joined militants and after the Government was planning to implement the police of rehabilitation of those local militants Pakistani agencies have initiated many schemes for buttering the level of violence. These agencies fear that if number of local youth accepted the new rehabilitation policy the valley would remain peaceful with no incidents of violence.
That is the reason for upgrading the ingress grid and first such incident was witnessed in Bandipore area of Gurez in north Kashmir where at least four Army men, including a Major, were killed in a fierce gunfight along the Line of Control in Gurez sector of north Kashmir's Bandipora district the other day. Two militants have also been killed.
A massive counter-infiltration operation is under way in the district along the LoC. The gunfight between a group of infiltrating militants and the Army erupted at around 1 am in the sector, over 180 km from Srinagar. "As they were challenged, six to eight militants opened fire triggering an intense gunfight. So far, four Army men, including a Major, have been killed. Two militants have also been gunned down.
The bodies of the militants are yet to be retrieved. There is a possibility that a few of the militants may have gone back to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, adding that the counter-infiltration operation is still going on.
While defence sources claimed it was an infiltration bid that was foiled, According to official reports, there was a ceasefire violation in the Gurez sector. Police sources in north Kashmir said cross-border firing and shelling started on the LoC near Baktoor Gurez. Rehabilitation of local militants who surrender, has motivated Pak agencies to increase ingress bids. And the way some six or eight militants had excessive use of gun fire and bomb blasts indicate support of Pakistan Army to the infiltrators to fight and kill Indian security forces.
