| Minister hails move on Jammu-Poonch rail line | | | Early Times Reporte

Minister for Health and Medical Education has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Railway Minister Mr. Lalu Prashad Yadav for announcing Railway line between Jammu and Poonch. He said this would not only provide easy mode of transport for trade and travel but boost tourism in the region of Poonch and Rajouri possessing its great potential.
Mr. Sharma said that the matter for construction of Jammu-Udhampur and Jammu-Poonch railway tracks has been advocated by him since 1996. While one has become reality now, the other would be in the offing soon", he added.
