Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 3 Chairman All India Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation, Zahir Abass Bhatti has demanded implementation of disability act 1998 in the state. Addressing a function by the disabled persons here today, he said under the act three percent reservation in government jobs is recommended for the disabled persons. He said that disabled persons are facing lot of problems in the state and no attention is being paid towards there upliftment. He further said that appointment of Disability commissioner, concession in transport fare for the disabled persons, state building code should be implemented, and all public places should be made disabled friendly so that disabled my feel part of society. Bhatti said that the main purpose of the Gandhi foundation is highlighting the genuine demands of the persons with disabilities and to give voice to their problems. He urged Govt. for the change their attitude towards the disabled and provide them chance to contribute their potential in development of society. Others who attended the meeting included Mohd.
