In absence of CEO, teachers make mess of system in Rajouri
8/14/2018 11:23:48 PM
Early Times Report

Rajouri, Aug 14: On July 18, Director of School Education had put on hold Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri's order of transfers/adjustments of teachers in hard zone/areas and directed the Joint Director Rajouri/Poonch range to verify the genuineness of the order.
Insiders say that in the absence of Ch Lal Hussain, CEO (who is on Haj pilgrimage) some influential teachers in nexus with a senior clerk and head of a section in the office of CEO, by providing wrong information to Joint Director (who is also officiating CEO, Rajouri), have managed a new list and have adjusted/retained their favourites.
"This mockery of the system has resulted in great resentment among the teachers. It has caused embarrassment for the department as many teachers have been retained, leaving the poor students of hard areas at the mercy of God," said a teacher. He said once again posts in hard areas/zones are lying vacant and poor students are suffering due to vested interests of these officials at the helm of affairs at the CEO's office.
"Despite advertisement for contractual teachers for hard zones, six teachers who never served in hard zones have been retained in Darhal education zone which is a setback for those unemployed youths who have applied for the contractual posts" said Mohammad Umair.
Names of few influential teachers are missing from the new list from Darhal zones that were transferred to hard zone by the CEO while many teachers brought to home zones after serving for long period in hard zones are once again posted in hard zones according to new list, the teachers alleged.
Sensing something fishy on the information provided to him, the officiating CEO (also inquiry officer) reportedly kept the new list for Rajouri zone in abeyance, claimed a source.
He added that the officiating CEO has also reportedly taken the senior clerk of his office to task for mismanagement and keeping him in dark.
How was a senior clerk of CEO office distributing the orders under new list to the teachers at their door steps, asked many teachers. These teachers have requested the Governor's administration for an in-depth inquiry and appropriate action.
