Teachers submit memorandum to DC

A large number of teachers drawn from different regions of the state staged a massive protest dahrna here today.
The teachers led by the Chairman State Teacher Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Balwan Singh Jamwal said the government has been adopting delaying tactics and failed to show any sympathy towards the suffering of teachers.
Jamwal said that the demands of the teaching community include: 15% DA for the teachers community, Regularization of RET teachers after three years of service and enhancement of their wages from 1500 to 4000 pm filling the vacancies of teachers, masters and lecturers and enhancement of retirement age from 58 years to 62 years.
Later on, the committee also submitted a memorandum of their demands to DC and also urged the authorities to concede to the demands of teachers within a period of one month.
Among others who addressed during the protest were, Mange Ram Sharma, Vijay Sharma Tanvir, Som Nath, Mulkh Raj, Darshan Lal and Mohinder Raina.
