8/18/2018 10:25:01 PM
Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 18: Senior officers in the Education department including Director School Education by sitting in air conditioned and posh offices even can't guess how a teacher is being humiliated in the public if he can't pay bills for ration/ domestic items as he was not paid salaries for the last 6 months.
What he feels when he is not able to provide copies, books and pencils to small daughter when was asked by her before going to school?
Not only these problems are being faced by these teachers but they are also facing many such problems when they find very difficult to run the domestic affairs of their family.
Teachers appointed under SSA facing many such problems now days in Rajouri district especially in remote areas.
How we can expect good teaching from these teachers when they enter the class rooms with mental stress due to all these problems?
Education department has issued guidelines to the teachers to enter the class rooms with smiling faces so that the students may feel homely atmospheres in the class rooms. Teachers were also advised to made students laugh at least for few minutes so that they can read in homely atmospheres.
It's a big question mark for the senior officers of the department that how they can expect a teacher to enter the class room with smiling face when the department has failed to release their salaries for the last 6 months?
Harnam Singh Jamwal, a teacher and Cluster Resource Person (CRP)-cum-ZASC/ZMC for Khawas education zone while visiting various schools has personally seen/ felt such feelings of these teachers and has appealed to Director School Education to release the pending salaries of these teachers.
Jamwal said while interacting with one such teacher he replied, "How a person can show his smiling face if he is living miserable and insulted life in the society".
"How is it possible to implement the new policies of the department on the ground level if the Nation builders (teachers) are in deep stress and living a miserable life in the society and it would be difficult to implement the government policies to uplift the education standard in the state.
