| JU gets ‘Solid State and Material Sciences’ institute | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | March 3 Indian Association of Solid Stae Chemists and Allied Scientists (ISCAS), a national level organization dedicated to research and teaching of solid state and materials science has set up National Institute of Solid Sate and Material Science at Jammu University campus which was inaugurated by the vice chancellor Jammu University, Prof. Amitabh Mattoo accompanied by renowned scientists and former vice chancellor Banaras Hindu University, Prof. RP Rastogi. While speaking on the occasion Matoo lauded the efforts of the association (ISCAS) and its National president Professor Indu Bhusahn Sharma for raising this national level institute at Jammu University campus. He also assured all support of the University for further development of the Institute. Prof. Rastogi in his address emphasized that this ISCAS institute will spearhead training young scientist in the country for development of advanced materials. He congratulated the association and its president for their efforts. The program was attended by the large scholars, teachers and students. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. PC Kalsi. |
