Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 4 Supporting the cause of the employees of the State Road Transport Corporation, who are on strike for the last fortnight in support of their demands, President All Public Sector Employees and Workers Federation, Amrik Singh has threatened to launch agitation, if government failed to concede the genuine demands of the PSUs. Addressing meeting of PSU employees and workers at Bagh-e-Bahu here today, Amrik Singh has impressed upon the state government to immediately concede the legitimate demands of the SRTC employees. He said the government has been assuring the PSU employees for the last one year that their COLA would be converted into DA and 50 per cent of it would be merged into pay to bring them at par with the state government employees, but regrettable nothing has been done on this account so far. Maintaining that the PSU employees are as good as the government employees, the Federation leaders said that the government should go through their problems seriously and remove the step motherly treatment being meted out to them. The meeting which was presided over by Jagmohan Sadhotra was among others, attended by Abdul Manan Bhat, Nar Singh, P P Singh, Mohammed Yaseen, Mohammed Sadiq, Karan Chand, Balwinder Singh, Onkar Sharma, Rakesh Ram Pal, Arun Toden, Tejinder Singh, Jai Krishan Koul, Ramesh Bhat, Mohammed Iqbal, Ashok Gupta, Baldev Raj and Wantoo. |
