Div Com reviews arrangements for Eid- ul-Azha

JAMMU, Aug 18: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements being put in place for the smooth celebration of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha festival.
DC Jammu Ramesh Kumar, IGP Jammu S.D. Singh, SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta, SSP Traffic Joginder Singh, SSP Samba Dr. Koushal Sharma, Director FCS &CA Amit Sharma, Deputy Director(C) Sheep Husbandry Dr. Vinod Choudhary, representatives from AUQAF, all DC's of Jammu Division through Video Conference and senior functionaries of various departments were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the DCs of Jammu Division apprised Div Com about the arrangements put in place for the smooth celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.
The Divisional Commissioner directed PDD and PHE Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply on Eid-ul-Azha besides directed the concerned officers to ensure proper sanitation in and around the Eidgah and mosques. He directed concerned departments to keep a strict vigil on the rates of essential commodities. The Health department was directed to ensure all necessary arrangements during the festival.
The Div Com exhorted upon the police and traffic department to ensure proper security arrangements and traffic management to avoid any inconvenience to the visitors. The Div Com stressed on maintaining close coordination among different departments and Auqaf and Masjid Committees for smooth celebration of the festival.
Later, the Div Com convened a meeting to review the progress on Ring Road.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, VC JDA Pawan Rathore besides other concerned officers. The meeting discussed in detail various issues regarding Ring Road
