| Batwal community thanks VC in recommending Ambedkar chair in JU | | Plead for granting extension in Mattoo’s term | | Early Times Reporter

Complimenting Padamshree Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, for endorsing proposal for establishment of Dr. B R Ambedkar Chair in the University here, Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Community has demanded extension of another term to the dynamic VC.
The community at its meeting, in a resolution, has acknowledged the goodwill gesture of Prof Mattoo in endorsing the proposal for setting up Ambedkar’s chair in the University to the Academic Council for consideration and approval.
Praising Prof Mattoo for his broad vision, the resolution said ‘Jammu University is emerging as a centre of academic excellence at national and international levels’ adding that with the concerted efforts of the VC, it has become one of the India’s premier research and teaching institutions.
The community has strongly pleaded for grant of another term to the present Vice Chancellor for his excellent record. |
