| Woman injured at Bandipora, Militant killed at Doda | | | Srinagar, August 26
Unidentified gun men critically injured a woman at Bandipora, while as a militant of Al-Mansoorein outfit was killed during an encounter at Doda.
Reports reaching Srinagar indicate that unidentified gun men fired upon Sairah Akhter D/O Gh Rasool Lone at Silar Bandipora at around 8.00 P.M last night. She was critically injured. It has been learnt that father of injured woman Saira Bano was holding the position of Inspector in Fire Service Department and army killed him for allegedly harbouring militants some nine months back. He is detained in Kotebilwal jail presently. The reasons of attack on Saira Bano could not be traced.
Meanwhile Al-Mansoorein spokesman Amir Ameer told this scribe on phone that Abu Hanza alias Rizwan was killed during an encounter in Khiddi forests at Doda, while his other two accomplices managed to escape. He also claimed that more than half a dozen security force personnel were also injured during the encounter.Meanwhile Hizb-ul-Mujahideen spokesman also claimed that army and militants got engaged into an encounter in the outskirts of Kangan today.
