| Bhim for district status to Billawar | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 4 Chairman of JKNPP, Prof. Bhim Singh accompanied by leader of Panthers legislature party, Harsh Dev Singh addressed a number of public meetings in district Kathua. Both the leaders in the rallies urged upon the youth of the state to join Panther Party movement and dislodge the ruling parties from further destruction. At Billawar rally Bhim expressed satisfaction that the leadership in Pakistan has realized the ground reality of J&K, and hoped that the angry leadership in Kashmir shall also accept the reality of the people. While speaking he strongly condemned Israel for suppressing the Palestinians and demanded UN action under article 7 of the UNO Charter against Israel. He also demanded withdrawal of all foreign troops from Iraq. He also said the Billawar he granted with district status in the interest of the people. At the venue former education minister and MLA Harsh Dev Singh accused the state government for deliberately discriminating against the development of degree colleges, which were opened during the ministership. He said majority of the colleges and schools have become defunct. Others who addressed the rallies included Darshan Sharma, H.C. Jalmeria, Shanti Basotra, Mohan Lal Verma, Chuni Lal Mistri and Pawan Singh. |
