3 rapists land in police lock
The trio drugged and molested a minor girl

KUPWAARA, August 26
A minor girl aged 16 has revealed that three persons drugged and molested her. Talking to KNS, Shabnam (name changed) R/O Meeroin Haihama , aged 16, said that one Shameem Ahmed Khan S/O Shamas-ud-Din counseled her through his two friends Gh Mohd Ganaie S/O Mohd Abdullah and Ali Mohd Khan S/O Ab Gaffar to enter into illicit affairs with him. However she claims to have rebuffed the offer by abusing Shams-ud-Din which provoked him to the extent that he once personally cam to Shabnum and threatened her of dangerous consequences.
Finally it was August 21, when she left home for a nearby jungle to get fuel wood at around 5.00 A.M early in the morning, but within few seconds she spotted Shameem Ahmed Khan who was also accompanied by his friend Gh Mohd Ganaie in the premises of her house. Shameem, according to Shabnum, immediately overpowered her after which he sealed her mouth, tied her arms with the help of some of his friends who were accompanying him and took her to his house. They, according to Shabnum, drugged and molested her later. Shabnum further alleged that Shameem threatened to killer in the wake of raising an alarm in the locality later, when she turned conscious. She was alleged kept locked from outside by Shameem in his house following which Shameem returned with his friends at around 4.00 P.M, when he drugged and molested her again. Saying the she was thrown in an unconscious condition in a paddy field on August 22 from where she was shifted to Kupwara hospital by her parents. She made the same state before police after turning conscious following which she accompanied a police squad to identify the house of Shameem from where bottles of liquor and illicit drugs were recovered. Police arrested Shameem Ahmed Khan, Gh Mohd Ganaie, Gh Mohd Ganaie and Ali Mohd Khan while trying to fled from Kupwara in a Sumo vehicle. U/S 342,376,109 RPC vide FIR No: 187/06 stands registered at P/S Kupwara.
