| Contractual period of teachers in Doda extended | | | Early Times Reporter

The government have authorized District Development Commissioner, Doda to extend the period of contractual appointment for teachers in the district till such time the posts were filled.
Instructions were passed during a high level meeting the Chief Minister took on Wednesday to review road projects under PMGSY.
During the meeting, the DDC, Doda, Khurshid Ahmad Bhat drew the attention of the chair that he was facing difficulty in running schools in the wake of expiry of contractual appointment of teachers and requested that the period may be extended, as had been done in the case of other districts, for smooth functioning of schools. Upon this, the Chief Secretary authorized him to extend the contractual period of teachers in the district by one year or till the posts are substantively filled, which ever is earlier. |
