| Youth killed in Doda ; woman among two injured in Sopore blast | | | SRINAGAR, JULY 5, : suspected militants slit the throat of a 24 year youth in Doda while a woman was among two pedestrians injured in a grenade explosion in North Kashmir on Wednesday. According to the reports reaching here suspected militants barged inside a house in Jagal village in Doda district of Jammu and killed 24-year-old Imtiaz Ahmed by slitting his throat. The cause of his killing was not immediately ascertained. Reports further said that militants lobbed a grenade at Border Security Forces (BSF) picket stationed at main bazaar sopore on Wednesday afternoon. The grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the road side injuring two civilians identified as Ali Mohammad son of Abdul Gaffer Sofi of Nargali Sopore and Jigari wife of Abdul Rehman Danthu of Sheri Kashmir colony Sopore, sources said adding that the injured were immediately evacuated to hospital from where they were referred to SHMS Srinagar for specialized treatment. No militant outfit has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
