| Asma visits NC office | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 6 A two member delegation consisting of Ms. Asma Jahangir and Michael Wiener united nations special rapporteurs on freedom of religion and belief visited the party headquarters of J&K National Conference at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu to discuss the situation with regard to freedom of religion and faith in the country. National Conference Party put forth party’s point of view about the right of freedom and religion and faith in the historical perspective and stressed the need to resolve the Kashmir issue by India and Pakistan so that human rights situation in the state which includes the right of freedom and religion and faith is preserved and protected as had been the case before the prevailing conflict situation in the state. Even during this time of turmoil for the last so many years National Conference Party has been in the forefront to fight the forces of communalism of all hues and not to allow various political groups to create disharmony in Jammu And Kashmir State. National Conference party also stressed that United Nations has a role to play to put a check on the Islamo Phobia in the western world which has put the Muslims living in the western world in a difficult situation threatening their right of religious freedom and living with honour and freedom. Besides party provincial president Jammu province Ajay Sadhotra, senior party leaders Mohd. Shafi Uri, Mian Altaf Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, Kr. Rachpal Singh, Vijay Laxmi Dutta and K.K Khosa NC Kashmiri Pandit leader were present. |
