| 5 killed, 5 injured in mishaps across Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 6 At least five persons were killed and five others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Ramban and Kathua districts of Jammu division since last evening. Informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a tripper (JK14A-2110) rolled down into gorge at Majal Jangi Nallah on Ramban-Gool road when it skidded off the road this morning resulting into death of three persons and injuries to four others. Giving details of the accident an eye witness told News Agency of Kashmir that the fateful tipper was on its way to work site of IRCON when rolled down in a Nallah. He said that the condition of the road is very critical as no black topping has been done to it. The deceased have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohammad Sharief resident of Sangal, Farooq Ahmed son of Abdul Majid Khan of Bandhan Sangaldhan and Gulzar Ahmed son of Ambklu resident of Hadrook Chappad. Those injured are Bodh Raj son of Amarnath resident of Hadook Chappad, Mohammad Tahir son of Mohammad Habibullah resident of Hadook Chappad, Ghulam Mohammad son of Keemu Gujjar of Ghambiri Thardaka and Irshad Ahmed son of Jamal din of Bachdhan Sangaldhan. Immediately after receiving the information police posts rushed to the site of accident and launched massive rescue operation with the help of locals. The injured were immediately rushed to the Ramban hospital, where doctors referred three of the seriously injured to GMC Jammu after giving them 1st aid. One with minor injuries was discharged at Ramban hospital. Meanwhile, in another road accident last evening, one tractor trolley rolled down at Machedi road near Sukrala resulting in on the spot death of two persons and injuries of one person. The injured were immediately rushed to hospital for treatment. The bodies were kept in the mortuary room of SDH Billawar for postmortem. The deceased have been identified as of Anil Kumar 23 son of Krishan Chand resident of Sukrala and Balbir Singh 22 son of Shanker Dass resident of Nazol, while the injured have been identified as Raj Kumar 30 son of Kuldeep Kumar resident of Sainik Colony. He is undergoing treatment at GMC hospital Jammu. |
