| Use of force on SRTC employees condemned | | | Early Times Reporter Jammmu | Mar 7 Several political parities and organizations have strongly condemned the use of force against the SRTC the employees, who were fighting peacefully for their rights. Leaders of the parties have urged upon the government to stop victimization of SRTC employees and release the detained workers immediately. The leader of opposition and senior National conference leader Abdul Rahim Rather while condemning the arrest of SRTC employees during night is very shameful and added it shows as they were criminals. He was asked the government immediately release all of them and full fill their long pending demands. He said, it is a matter of shame for the government as the dependents of these employees are on roads demanding justice. Another NC leader S. Harbans Singh also criticized the action of government and demands lifting of ESMA and release of employees. He urged upon the government come forward and solve the problems of SRTC employees as general public is facing acute problems. The state secretary CPI (M) and MLA, M.Y Tarigami in a press statement issued have today have urged upon the government stop victimization of SRTC employees and release all detained and initiate negotiations with the representatives. He also appealed the SRTC leaders to enter negotiations with the government for an early settlement of their issues. Jammu Kashmir Awami Tehreck and JK Medical employees federation original in separate statement have extend their full support with SRTC employees. They have criticized the coalition government for suppressing the hapless employees. They also criticized the imposing of ESMA and criminal silence of the government over the genuine demands of the employees. |
