Kanchan of Hiranagar emerges best Athlete

Kathua, Sept 4: Kanchan Devi of Government Higher Secondary School Hiranagar Zone Hiranagar, emerged as best athlete in Inter School Zone Level and Inter Zone clubbed Zone Level Athletic Meet and excelled in her all three events and declared as the best athlete of District in girls section.
The inter zone District Level Tournament organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium Kathua concluded with the Athletic Meet for All Age Groups Girls.
A total of 515 players of district participated in the 4 day's tournament and Athletic Meet. The tournament was organised under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
Girls under 19 years, Kanchan Devi of Zone Hiranagar (Government Higher Secondary School Hiranagar) stood first in 100 Metres Race, 400 Metres Race and Long Jump and declared as the Best Athlete. Mitali Devi of Hiranagar first in High Jump. Sandhya Devi of Billawar first in Shot Put Throw and Discuss Throw. Kajal Devi of Billawar first in Javelin Throw. Begum of Hiranagar first in 200 Metres Race, Vishali of Hiranagar first in 800 metres race. Neha of Hiranagar first in 1500 metres race, Sonika of Hiranagar first in 5000 metres race.
Under 17 years Girls, Shilpa, Anita, Tamanna of Kathua first in 100, 200 and 400 metres race respectively. Saleema of Hiranagar first in 800 metres race.
Shakeel Bibi of Kathua first in 1500 metres race and Long Jump. Suhani Devi of Billawar first in High Jump. Kiran Bala of Billawar first in Shot Put and Discuss Throw.
Under 14 years Girls, Jatoon Bibi of Zone Hiranagar (Government Middle School Phallapur stood first in three events viz. Shot Put, Throw Discuss, Throw and Long Jump.
Pari Begum of Hiranagar first in High Jump. Shagun Sharma of Billawar first in Javelin Throw. Palak of Kathua, Shakti of Hiranagar, Julekha Bibi of Kathua and Lalita of Hiranagar first in 100, 200, 400 and 600 metres race respectively.
