JAMMU, Sept 4: RM Public School has celebrated "Teacher's day in its school premises to hail the teaching faculty for their contribution as they are making efforts to make the lives of students better.
Former Minister Raman Bhalla, I.D. Soni, Natre Prakash (Ex-incharge of Shiksha Niketan Jeevan Nagar) attended the function as a special guests. As this day always be observed as "Teacher's day in honour of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. This day is celebrated to pay tribute to the teachers for their precious contribution towards the country and society. The theme of the teachers day was "Teachers are the nation builders". They always inspire their students to aspire for greater things and they always ought to be highly respected members of the society as they mend the individual personality of their students. The programme has started with the lightning of lamp by the chief guest Raman Bhalla along with Chairman of R.M. Public School Rameshwar Mengi and Trustee Mam Rita Mengi. In the beginning there was a welcome dance by the students of class 7th and duet was presented by the students of the institution. The chairman Rameshwar Mengi and Trustee Rita Mengi have presented bouquets and gifts to our guests. This day has been celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. A various cultural programmes and dogri dance was presented by the students of different classes to make this function as a memorable day. The teachers and students of the school threw light on the life and achievements of Dr. Savepalli RadhaKrishnan whose birthday is being celebrated as Teacher's day. The students have also presented speech by giving a message that the teachers have the ability and the strength to fight the odds and make the nation a powerful and a well educated. This programme was hosted by the students of class 7th Vineet and Kamakshi .The gifts and cheques have been distributed among the staff members and other dignitiries of the school as a token of love and respect.
