| BSDP to contest on all 87 seats in ensuing Assembly polls | | Demands reservation for backward classes | |

Backward Classes Democratic Party J& K( BCDPJK), while demanding twenty seven percent reservation for backward classes across the state has announced to contest on all the eighty seven constituencies in coming Assembly elections.
Addressing media persons in a press conference here on Saturday, President BCDPJK, Sheraz Azhari said that it was the aspirations of backward and underprivileged classes of our society that has galvanized him to come up with a political force that would work for their welfare.
"The people belonging to backward classes including SCs, STs and OBCs form eighty five percent of total population and in a situation like this our party is going to field candidates in all the eighty seven constituencies in coming elections," he added.
Demanding implementation of Mandal Commission with twenty seven percent reservation for backward classes, he said that the successive governments have been doing nothing for the upliftment of backward classes and as a result they are lagging behind in every sphere of life.
He further said that his party is going to contest the ensuing elections all alone without entering into any sort of alliances with other political forces across the state.
