Terming the use of force against the striking SRTC employees as highhandedness of present coalition government, National Conference on Saturday stressed upon the government to release salaries and other arrears to agitating workers.
In a press release issued here on Saturday, Senior NC leader, Abdul Rahim Rather has condemned the police action against the SRTC workers and said that the problems was as a consequence of wrong policies of coalition government.
He further said that it was unfortunate that the agitating workers demanding release of their salaries were treated as criminals and nothing was being done to address their long pending demands.
Decrying the Coalition, Rather said that faulty policies of the government has brought the familities of thousands SRTC employees at the threshold of starvation.
"These are the senseless policies of coalition that has created grave problems for the working class and the way they are trying to handle the situation amply reflects their frustration," he added.
