| Jugal tours Samba areas, interacts with people | | | Jammu March 8 Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma today conducted an extensive tour of Samba district and took stock of the development works under execution in the district. During the tour the Minister inspected newly constructed Dy. Commissioner office complex at Samba on which Rs.33.14 crore are being spent. The Minister was told that during the current financial year Rs. 5 crore are being spent on these works which include conference hall and would be completed in June 2008. The Minister was told that Rs.2 crore have been spent on the project by the end of 2/2008. Deputy Commissioner Samba, Chief Engineer R&B and other senior officers accompanied the Minister. Addressing the largely attended public meeting at Taloor, Sumb and Garn, the Minister asked the engineers to start earth work of road from Garn to Smoth immediately which was the long pending demand of the people of the area. The Minister appealed the people especially youths to strengthened the hands of Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad. Congress Leader Swaran Lata, Kumair Singh, Des Raj Sharma, Arun Sharma, Baldev Sharma also addressed the meeting. Earlier, the Minister inspected the widening of road from Bikram Chowk to Satwari, Jammu on which Rs.8.96 crore are being incurred. The Minister was told that on the widening of road Rs.50 lakh are being spend during the current financial year.
