| Peer review functioning of education department | | |

To review the functioning of education sector a meeting of the education officials chaired by the secretary education G.A Peer was held here today.
During the meet Peer asked the officials to strengthen the inspection and monitoring system for the effective implementation of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) and mid day meal scheme.
He further laid the focus on the actual implementation of Cumulative Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) scheme in the schools and ensure remediation. When needed and asked the CEO’s to ensure regarding the upgradation of EGS centres to primary schools with in a time frame period. While he also issued instructions to the director school education (DSE) to issue promotion orders in favour of all eligible teachers and other staff on priority basis. Among others who participants of the meet were, Showkat Ahmed, Anup Kannaw, A.K Raina and R.A Inelabi.
