Sat hands over Two Wheelers to disabled people

JAMMU, Sept 6: Former Minister and MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma handed over TVS Wego Scooty to four disabled people from his Constituency.
The beneficiaries include Sanjeev Kumar from Ward 24 Rehari Colony, Kehlon Bhatti from Ward 8 Old Rehari Mohalla, Gurmukh Singh from Ward 36 Janipur and Susheel Kumar from Ward 12 Krishna Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is our duty to help such people as they are also part of our society. He said due to mishappenings in their lives, they lost their ability to walk properly and keeping other things in mind as well it was decided that a two wheeler must be given to them so that they can commute anywhere freely without the help of others. He also appreciated the efforts of social welfare department as well and stated that there are certain schemes of Department as well under which disabled persons are provided with relief and moreover thousands of people hailing from Jammu West have already been provided with benefits of various schemes of social welafare including Widow Pension, Old Age Pension, Pension for Disabled, Marriage Assistance scheme for Girls and many more and it will be also seen in the coming days that such persons who are left will be located in the Constituency and every possible help will be provided to them through various schemes. The beneficiaries and residents of the areas also hailed the initiative of the MLA by helping the needy in every noble cause. District Social Welfare Officer Ranvir Singh Jamwal, State Secretary BJP Praduman Singh, District President Ayodhya Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Jeet Angral, Sanjeev Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Balwan Singh, Arun Chibber, Dr Akshay Sharma, Raveesh Mengi, Ajay Manhas, suresh Salgotra, Inderjeet Sawhney, Ramesh Kumar and several others were also present.
