| Billawar residents decry Govt for underdevelopment | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 9 Coming down heavily on government for ignoring the constituency in every phase, Billawar residents have demanded immediate redressal of the problems being faced by the people of sixty-five villages of the area. Addressing media persons in a press conference here on Sunday, Chairman Billawar Social Welfare Committee, (BSWC), Advocate JS Badwal, President K.C Verma and General Secretary, Akhtar Ali said that during last five and a half year no development took place in constituency and as a result of which the area is lagging behind in every respect when compared with other constituencies of state. They said that no development work initiated by government was completed since the advent of coalition rule as a consequence of which, the people are exposed to all sorts of miseries. "The most unfortunate part of the story has been the infighting among political leaders of the area which created every hurdle in the path of development," they said. They further said that the departments like PHE, Revenue, Health, irrigation, R&B, Flood and Agriculture are totally defunct in the area creating more problems for the people. The unemployment problem in entire area in increasing with every passing day and government is unable to find a way out to this grave problem, they added. |
