| Vohoar’s presence in Srinagar giving rise to speculations | | | Srinagar, Aug 26: The Centre's special representative for dialogue on Kashmir N N Vohra’s presence in Srinagar has given rise to speculations of his possible meeting with Hurriyat Conference. Though vohara is in Valley in connection with the three-day conference on “Indian federalism at work.” speculations are rife that he might be on a mission to open up channels for reviving talks with Hurriyat and other separatist Groups. He also met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad last evening and discussed various issues pertaining to the peace and development of the state, said an official press release Vohara called on Azad last evening and the meeting lasted for one and a half hour, the release said. The spokesperson said that Vohara discussed issues relating to the establishment peace and carrying forward the development process in the state with the Chief Minister.. However, no separatist group, including Moderate Hurriyat has approved of any invitation from Vohara as yet. Vohara presented his presidential address at the conference yesterday. |
