Jammu, Sept 12: Shri Ram Sena has criticized DC Office Jammu for allegedly harassing and forcing people to pay frequent visits to their office for the renewal of gun licences as well as for duplicate gun licences even after submitting all the necessary documents for months together.
The renewal of gun licenses is not being done in a routine manner as per Government policy and rules prescribed in Arms Act, said, Sate President, Rajiv Mahajan on Wednesday.
He further said that those applying for the renewal of a gun licence three to four months back after submitting all the necessary documents, the officials concerned are delaying the process and not clearing the files.
People are being forced to make rounds from one table to another in the Deputy Commissioners' office to get their licence renewed," Mahajan said. |
