Jammu, Sept 12: Pallanwala team lifted the Dev Raj Khajuria Memorial Volleyball Tournament for men by beating TA 157 team in three straight sets with the score of 26-24, 25-16 and 25-21.
In all 16 teams drawn from local clubs and para-military forces participated in the two-day long championship. Earlier in the semi-final TA 157 team beat 4th RAJ RAF by 3-2 with score of 25-17, 25-23, 24-26, 23-25 and 15-10. In the second semi-final Pallanwala beat Trikuta Volleyball Club Jammu by 3-0 with score of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22.
Rajesh Gupta, MLA Jammu East was the chief guest, who distributed individual prizes/medals/Team Trophies and cash prices to the tune of Rs10,000 to winner team and Rs 5,000 to runner-up team. Anil Singh of Pallanwala team and Romi from TA157 team received Rs 2,000 each. |
