Party lands in embarrassing situation after serving notice to him
BJP finding it difficult to tackle Rajesh Gupta
9/13/2018 10:46:31 PM
Early Times Report
jAMMU, Sept 13: All 'powerful' state unit of BJP, which claimed to take on anti-national forces, is finding it difficult to tackle non-entity in the party Rajesh Gupta, who had supported Article 35-A and assassinated character of the state president Ravinder Raina.
State unit of BJP is landed in an embarrassing situation due to foolish decisions taken by the leadership. On the one hand state unit is repeatedly claiming that Rajesh Gupta, who had supported Article 35-A is non entity in the party but on the other hand party has issued notice to him to clear his position on September 14.
How can BJP issued notice to a person who is not even a member of the party?, this is hundred dollar question.
On September 7, BJP had summoned Rajesh Gupta to clear his stand on Article 35-A and alleged derogatory remarks he made against the party state president.
Disciplinary Committee of the party took strong note of defamatory and unfounded allegations against the party and personal attack on state president Ravinder Raina by Gupta.
Gupta had on August 4 differed with the party's stand on desirability of the Article 35-A of the Constitution, saying "there are fears in Jammu that if the article is repealed, the region will suffer the most due to the influx of outsiders".
The spokesman of the BJP had stated that a show cause notice has been issued to Gupta on prima facie proof of indiscipline and derogatory behaviour.
He is called upon to appear before the committee with all proof or evidence as he may like to produce as to why he should not be expelled from the party for gross indiscipline on September 14 at 3 pm at the party headquarters at Trikuta Nagar.
