| CRPF lends support to drug de-addiction campaign in Valley | | IGP presents Computer, Printer, TV, DVD to Ladakh Charitable Org. | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 10 Apart from fighting Pak-sponsored militancy in Jammu and Kashmir, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed in Kashmir, has been doing a commendable job to eradicate the drug menace from the Valley. The Force is also providing help to the NGOs, who are fighting against this menace. The Force did not lag behind in providing help in one form or the other to the civilians and the NGOs. IGP CRPF, S.K. Jain today handed over a Computer with printer, 29” Television set, DVD player and Music system to J&K Ladakh Charitable Organization, Srinagar. The NGOs working for eradication of the drug menace have adopted a unique method to create awareness among the youth about the ill affects of the drugs. One of the NGO, Valley Youth X-Pressions has played many streets plays in Srinagar city and other districts of the valley, which have been commended loudly by the local people. CRPF, on its part, is also playing Jingles on Big 92.7 FM and 102.6 FM which gives message regarding “SAY NO TO DRUGS AND YES TO LIFE”. CRPF hoardings regarding drugs can also be seen at various places of Srinagar city. |
