| Educational tours add to students overall development: Khoda | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 11 Director General of Police Mr. Kuldeep Khoda today said that students of remote and far-flung areas of the state should go for educational tours, to enable themselves to enrich their knowledge with cultural ethos of the country. Khoda was addressing a group of students of valley who reached here after completing 20-day tour of Maharashtra and other places of the country, organized by an NGO Borderless World Foundation at an impressive function held at Gulshan Ground today evening. He said that students should participate in such tours and those hailing from remote and far-flung areas of the state should be given preference. While interacting with the students from Kupwara, Budgam and Anantnag districts Khoda observed that the students have gained much confidence and exposure in various fields, which would be very useful in their day-to-day educational life. He advised them to share their experiences gained during the tour with other students in their schools. On the occasion, Mr. Khoda thanked the NGO for arranging the tour particularly for down trodden and poor students and distributed the gifts among the students. He said that every possible help would be given to the agencies who are working in remote areas for the poor students adding that these deserve every encouragement. The function was organized by J&K Armed Headquarters in which various items were presented by the students. Among others, the function was attended by the Inspectors General of Police Mr. P. L. Gupta, Mr. Ram Lubhaya, Sheikh Owais Ahmed, Mr. Zahoor Hussain Chisti, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration)PHQ Mr. Faooq Ahmed, AIG (Personal)Mr. Riyaz Ahmed, AIG(T&I) Mr. Rajesh Kumar and other senior police officers. |
