9/18/2018 8:28:15 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 18: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President Subash Shastri today appealed to Governor administration to immediately provide funds as to enable respective departments to pay the long pending wages of all daily rated workers engage by different departments who are suffering for want of salaries adding that certain cases wages has been delayed for years making such workers families miserable.
As per press statement issued here, it states that it was hoped that the Governor Satya Pal Malik will take personal intiative to make the payment of all pending wages before the ensuing festivals. Pleading the cause of thousands of daily wagers working in the various departments Shastri also urged Governor Administration to actively monitor the progress regarding the regularization of thousands of daily rated workers engaged in public utilities of State Government.
He brought home the point that procrastination regarding the process of their regularization is unduly taking a lot of time, often on flimsy grounds. "The complete records are supposed to be with the office establishments and not with the individual daily wagers who incidentally have not been paid their wages for years together," Shastri said.
Appreciating the policies and programs of Governor administration, he said that Governor Satya Pal Malik is walking the talk as various steps taken by his administration like creating an environment of accountability, besides a humane touch by making J&K State as the first in the country to announce DA to employees and pensioners within fifteen days of the announcement by the Central Government.
Among others who were present in the meeting included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S.Jamwal, Surrinder Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma, Pardeep Kumar, Ram Singh, Darshan Bawa, Surinder Kumar, Sardhri Lal, Ram Singh, Sudesh Bhagat and others.
