| Niaz condemns damage to temple | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 11 MLC and former minister Mohamad Sharief Niaz in a statement has condemned the action of Border Roads Organization (BRO) during execution of Kistwar-Chatroo road in which a historical temple situated at Bindraban near Kishtwar was partially damaged due to blasting carried out by BRO authorities. As per release Niaz has stated that this incident has created great resentment among the masses of the minority community in the area who were forced to come on roads and tried to block the road near the site of the accident. He has demanded immediate restoration of the damaged structure of 200 years old temple and immediate release of the agitators who were arrested, beside withdrawal of all cases registered by the police so that the confidence of the people could be restored. In another statement Niaz her expressed grief and shock over the incident which took place in village Kethar in Bunjawa area of Kishtwar District in which security forces tortured innocent villagers resulting injuries to them. While 26 youths preferred to fled away from their houses due to the fear as well as illegal harassment. He demanded an inquiry into the incident so that the culprit may be brought to book and the youths who had fled from their houses may be called back, besides, the private houses occupied by the security personals should be restored to the family members immediately. Niaz has demanded up gradation of primary health centre in the vicinity in this far flung areas. |
