GDC Basohli organises awareness programme on Swatchta Hi Sewa

Basohli, Sept 18: GDC Basohli organised awareness programme on "Swatchta Hi Sewa" campaign in collaboration with 'UMEED" coordinated by Aamir Manan Deva, District coordinator of SBM and Ubair Sofi District Coordinator SBM-G Kathua.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Sanjay Gupta, ADC Basohli, Naresh Padha, BDO Basohli, Sunil Singh SDPO Basohli and prominent citizens of Basohli, staff members and NSS/NCC volunteers in the conference hall of the college. The function was started with the floral welcome address by Prof. R.S. Jamwal in which he highlighted the importance of a healthy and clean environment and also aware the students about the various majors to be taken for keeping their surroundings clean and hygienic. Followed by Aamir who encourage the youth of the college for imbibing their hygienic practices in their daily life and Ubair also presented their views in the programme and also made the students aware about recent achievement of state which is being recently declared as one of the open defecation free (ODF) state on 15th of Sep., 2018. There after all the dignitaries along with the staff of the college and NSS volunteers took part in the programme, under took an oath to make sanitation as their prime duty and shall abide this with their whole heart and spirit. Further, a rally was launched from college to Ramleela ground. The rally was coordinated by NSS Programme Officer Prof. Rakesh Singh along with with other dignitaries, Umeed team and Municipal Committee (Safai Karmcharis). The rally was conducted around the town and Safai Abhiyan was conducted at different public places of Basohli town.
