| Pawan Sharma visits agitating RET Teachers' | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 20: Pawan Sharma Member NMCME Ministry of HRD Govt. of India and senior leader of BJP Jammu and Kashmir visited the RET teachers who are hunger strike since last 22 days at Press Club, Jammu.
At the occasion Sharma during his address to the protesting teachers appealed the SAC headed by Governor to immediately redress the genuine demands of RET teachers.
The main demand of implementation of recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission to SSA teachers is logical and genuine as they had already got the benefit of recommendations of 6th Pay Commission. To deprive the RET teachers from the benefits of seventh pay commission is against their basic rights.
He further said that he has already raised the issue of RETs before HRD Ministry and with higher authorities in Jammu and Kashmir also. Strike of teachers is serious cause of concern for whole society as innocent students and parents are suffering. Teachers and their families are direct suffers. Sharma appealed the Governor to settle the all issues of teachers once for all so that the education of students may not hamper further and teachers may join their duties smoothly and can play their basic role of nation building freely and fully. |
